Flyskyhy serves as your flight instrument during flight, providing you with all the necessary information. It displays regular data such as altitude, climb rate, ground speed, and glide angle. In addition, it calculates and presents the current wind direction and strength, which are crucial for your safety.

A dynamic and interactive map showcases your current flying position and flight trail. It indicates where you have ascended (in a thermal) and where you have experienced faster than normal descent. This feature allows you to easily locate and return to a lost thermal. The map also highlights the nearest known landing spots and provides information on their accessibility via normal glide, based on your current altitude and wind direction.

The integration with Bluetooth varios SensBox, FlyNet, GoFly iPico, XC-Tracer, BlueFlyVario, or SkyDrop ensures accurate altitude and lift information. This effectively transforms your iPhone into a fully-functioning GPS-vario, complete with vario tones.

The app creates a comprehensive log of your flight that can be analyzed afterward. Alongside standard data such as start and landing positions, flight duration, and an altitude graph of the flight, Flyskyhy also calculates the scoring distances for you. This enables you to quickly determine if you have broken any FAI triangle records.

If desired, your live location can be reported on livetrack24.com or loctome.com. This allows anyone to track your flight in real time. If flying with friends, their locations are displayed on your map during the flight. Therefore, you will always know if they are ahead of or behind you.

The flight display consists of multiple screens that can be fully customized. You have the ability to relocate elements, delete or add them, and resize as desired.

The app also supports airspaces and waypoints through in-app purchases.

The app is optimized for paragliding and hang gliders but can be used for all types of air sports.
